Intro:

Levetiracetam is the non-branded name for the broad spectrum antiepileptic drug Keppra, which is affective against partial and generalised seizures. Dose changes of Levetiracetam produce a predictable change in serum concentration in most patients. TDM for levetiracetam is only usually required in: Children <10 years old, as clearance of Levetiracetam may be increased by as much as 60%. Patients >65 years. GFR typically falls and as a result Levetiracetam clearance may be significantly reduced by up to 40%.
