Indication: Investigation of unexplained Raynaud’s; suspected limited cutaneous systemic sclerosis/scleroderma (LcSSc); CREST syndrome. Further information: See Anti-nuclear antibody (ANA) Anti-centromere antibodies are characteristic of the CREST syndrome (Calcinosis, Raynaud’s, Oesophageal dysmotility, Sclerodactyly and Telangiectasia), Limited cutaneous Systemic Sclerosis (LcSSc). They can also be present in a minority of cases of primary biliary cholangitis (PBC) and Sjögren’s syndrome where an SSc overlap syndrome may be present.
