New Pathology Services for

the Black Country

The creation of BCPS forms a large network laboratory model for the Black Country. This is very much the way forward that NHSI is planning for pathology in England. We are now at the forefront of taking this model forward. At present our users should experience very little difference in the services that we provide. However, behind the scenes,  pathology staff are busy planning changes. This will ensure we have sustainable services that meet the needs of modern healthcare in the Black Country for the years ahead. You will be able to read updates on these pages as plans progress.

TV presenter and producer Gary Newbon, recently given an MBE in the New Year Honours’ list, very kindly reviewed our new identity for us. Overall he seemed to give it the thumbs up. In particular he was slightly amazed, to say the least, that the budget for the design was all done for less than £300!

BCPS Feedback Postcard

Your feedback has always been important, be it a suggestion for improving our service or a comment on something we do well. We would really appreciate it if you could complete a postcard and send it in to us when you have a suggestion or comment. This can be done in two ways: Download the postcard here and email it back to us with your comments or Send it back to us in the GP transport with your samples that are collected daily If your supply of feedback postcards is running low and you require more then please contact the quality department by emailing: quality@bcpathology.org.uk
